The strongest response we have had to a new listing this year is the new ASX listing called BlackEarth Minerals. There has been large amount of interest in this deal and I have been busy trying to answer all your questions on the company.

BlackEarth is a prospective graphite miner, with some attractive real estate in Madagascar and Western Australia. They are offering retail investors the opportunity to bid for shares in their company, which will focus on the exploration of an exciting portfolio of graphite assets.

Graphite is an essential mineral for numerous applications. However, future demand growth for graphite is likely to be driven by its use in battery energy storage.

BlackEarth plans to initially focus on their Ampanihy project in Madagascar, which is at an advanced evaluation stage. The Ampanihy project can be further broken down into the Maniry project in the south, and the Ianapera project in the north.

The Madagascan projects are considered highly prospective for large scale, high quality graphite deposits, and they reside close to other new and existing graphite projects. Madagascar has a strong history of over a hundred years of graphite mining, with the country renowned for its high quality graphite, and low costs of extraction.

The company will also hold a portfolio of four projects in Western Australia, which have been selected on the basis of either overlying neglected historically reported graphite occurrences, or containing other specific geological or geophysical characteristics that signify prospectively for the discovery of graphite mineralisation.

The Company is focused on defining a maiden resource and commencing a scoping study on the Maniry Project within the first 12 months after the Listing Date. Favourable results from exploration will increase the value of the Projects and should in turn increase the value of the company’s Securities.

The company is led by an experienced team with broad technical (including graphite), operational, legal and corporate expertise in mineral exploration, finance, project acquisition, development and operation, in private and listed public companies. The Chairman and Managing Director alone have about 70 years of experience between them in the resources industry.
